The Farm

IMG_1575.JPG

We are a small farm in Rough and Ready, CA that specializes in chili peppers and hot sauce. We practice sustainable growing methods free of the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Many of our inputs are derived from organically fed goats living on the property and worm castings from on-site vermiculture. We practice no-till in an effort to promote a vibrant soil ecosystem. We believe healthy people require healthy food, and healthy food requires healthy soil.

Hot Sauce

What makes our sauce special?

What we don't put in it. No additives, no preservatives, no food coloring, no sugar. Just Jalapenos, apple cider vinegar, and salt. That's it.

From seed to bottle, our peppers never leave our care. We handpick and select the best peppers from our crop, roast them to perfection, and hand-bottle everything in a commercial kitchen - no co-packing, no middlemen.

We keep our hot sauce recipes simple so the flavor profile of our peppers can shine through. That’s also why we don't apply synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers to our pepper plants. We love the results, and we hope you will, too.
